Three Mile Pilot

Three Mile Pilot is a band from San Diego. Formed in 1991, 3MP began as a trio consisting of Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession), Armistead Burwell Smith IV (aka Zach of Pinback), and Tom Zinser (Pinback), although Tobias Nathaniel (The Black Heart Procession) joined the band in 1997. 3MP released three full-length albums: Nà Vuccà Dò Lupù (1992), Chief Assassin to the Sinister (1994), and Another Desert, Another Sea (1997), as well as some EPs, a slew of 7”s, and a singles compilation called Songs From and Old Town We Once Knew (2000). The band went on hiatus in the late 90s, as members went on to focus on other musical projects. 3MP resurfaced in 2006, performing at the Touch and Go 25th Anniversary weekend, and is currently working on material for a new record to be released on Touch and Go.
